NH HOUSE DEMOCRATIC CAUCUS THANKS SENATOR HASSAN FOR COMMITTING TO PROTECT VOTING RIGHTS

CONCORD, NEW HAMPSHIRE – Yesterday, Senator Maggie Hassan affirmed her support to change the U.S. Senate filibuster rule to protect voting rights. In response, Deputy House Democratic Leader and Ranking Democrat on the House Election Law Committee, Rep. David Cote (D-Nashua) released the following statement: “Protecting the right to vote is the most critical act that we can take to preserve our democracy. Proposals to undermine our free and fair elections and make it harder to vote are here in the New Hampshire legislature and across the country because of unfounded right-wing conspiracy theories intended to sow division and discord.
