HOUSE DEMOCRATIC LEADERSHIP COMMENDS EFFORTS OF 3 STATE REPRESENTATIVES IN DC

CONCORD, NEW HAMPSHIRE – Today, Representatives Manny Espitia (D-Nashua), Maria Perez (D-Milford), and Ellen Read (D-Newmarket) traveled to Washington, joining hundreds of state legislators across the country to call on Congress to pass the ‘For the People Act.’ Deputy House Democratic Leader and Ranking Member on the House Election Law Committee, Rep. David Cote (D-Nashua) released the following statement:

“The House Democratic Caucus could not be more proud to have three young Representatives among hundreds of state legislators in Washington today calling on Congress to pass the ‘For the People Act.’ We have witnessed Republicans in New Hampshire work diligently this session to restrict fair and equal access to voting, which makes safeguarding our Democracy more important than ever. We thank Representatives Espitia, Perez, and Read for their steadfast commitment to ensuring the rights of Granite Staters are protected.”
