DEPUTY DEMOCRATIC LEADER COMMENDS US DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE

CONCORD, NEW HAMPSHIRE – Today, it was announced that the US Department of Justice is suing the state of Georgia regarding their outrageous voter suppression activities. Representative David Cote (D-Nashua), Deputy Democratic leader and ranking member of the House Committee on Election Law, released the following statement:

“I commend the US Department of Justice for its action against the state of Georgia’s outrageous voter suppression law. It is good to see the Department once again living up to its name. States such as New Hampshire that have taken or are contemplating similar action should take note.”
