Rep Peter Somssich

I served on the Amherst Democrat's Executive Committee from 1983 to 2000, with 4 years as Chair. At the same time I was elected as an Amherst Library Trustee and later appointed as a Landfill Commissioner. After moving to Portsmouth in 2001, I served on the Portsmouth Democrat's Executive Committee from 2002 to 2010 with 4 years as Portsmouth Democratic Chair.
I also was the chair of the Memorial Bridge Illumination Committee which provided the LED illumination of the Memorial Bridge, the only bridge in NH that is illuminated . Since 2017 I have served as the Ward 3 State Representative for Portsmouth.
