HOUSE DEMOCRATS CONTINUE TO SUPPORT TRANSPARENT AND OPEN REDISTRICTING PROCESS

CONCORD, NEW HAMPSHIRE – Today, the US Census Bureau released population data that will be integral to the redistricting process across the country and in New Hampshire. In response to the release, Deputy House Democratic Leader and Ranking Member of the House Election Law Committee Rep. David Cote (D-Nashua) commented:

With today’s data release by the US Census Bureau, New Hampshire House Democrats reaffirm our commitment to a fully transparent and open process and will fight to ensure Granite Staters have a voice, unlike 10 years ago when Republicans did the heavy lifting in secret. We continue to support a non-partisan redistricting commission, which Gov Sununu and Republicans opposed, and we will continue to fight for it in the future.“
