FEDERAL FUNDS CRITICAL TO NH VACCINATION EFFORT

CONCORD, NEW HAMPSHIRE – Today, the Joint Fiscal Committee voted to accept $22.5 million in federal funds for vaccine distribution that had been previously tabled. Fiscal Committee member Rep. Peter Leishman (D-Peterborough) released the following statement:

“The additional resources that these funds provide New Hampshire’s Department of Health and Human Services are critical to ongoing efforts to inform the public about the Covid vaccine. This funding will add another tool to our toolbox, increasing connectivity between the department and the public. Covid is not going away, as case counts are growing to record numbers in the Granite State. Increasing vaccination rates will help stabilize and reduce infections, and acceptance of federal funds today will bolster that effort.”
